We provide guidance for people in pain and discomfort to take ownership of their own body. Gary Ward mapped the movement of the whole body through a single footstep – his Flow Motion Model. The model defines all possible joint relationships that your body needs to be able to access to uncover optimal, efficient and free flowing movement.
We don’t seek to fix the problem. We seek to create an environment in your whole body that creates the opportunity for healing to take place. On a much higher level – moving from a local level to a systemic level. Integrated movement has the possibility of taking pressure of your whole system.
Anatomy in Motion (AiM)
Anatomy in Motion (AiM) is a movement-based, therapeutic, and assessment methodology developed by Gary Ward that uses a patient's own gait (walking) cycle to diagnose and fix pain by identifying and restoring missing movements. It focuses on the whole body's interaction with the ground to re-educate movement habits rather than focusing only on symptoms.
Key Aspects of the AiM Method:

The Flow Motion Model (FMM): This model serves as the core of AiM, acting as a blueprint for the 7 stages of movement that every joint and bone in the body goes through during a single step of the walking gait cycle.

Assessment & Treatment: Practitioners evaluate a patient's resting posture, dynamic posture, and gait to locate areas that are "stuck" or compensating (under-moving or over-moving).

Self-Correction: The methodology is designed to empower the body to heal itself by guiding it through corrective, often gentle, movements to remove pressure from the system.

Three-Dimensional Approach: It focuses on how the body moves in all three dimensions to restore lost movement options.
Primary Goal:
To move from pain to peak performance by addressing the root cause of discomfort, often found in areas far from where the symptom is felt
